A1Books
|
Review:
Referral program that enables people to make referrals even without
being on the Web. They offer you tow ways to promote the
program. First, A banner or text link, and second creating and
promoting your own book store with product links from A1Books.
Program For US
residents only.
Payout: Each sale made through this link
would give the A1 Partner 5% commission on the entire
order. All commissions are exclusive of applicable sales tax,
shipping and handling charges, credits, discounts and/or
returns for each order. Only the orders actually shipped will
qualify for commission.
Affiliates will be paid every ninety (90) days. All the checks
will be mailed by the 10th of the month following the quarter.
The commission should be at least $25 per pay period. If it is
less than $25, then it will be carried over to the next
period.
Links: There are two types of linking
methods:-
Web Site Link: Simply create a link to A1Books from your
site. All purchases made through this link would qualify for
the commission.
Web Site Bookstore: Create a bookstore on your site and
link each book to A1Books.

Intertain.com
|
Review: Online
bookstore that features a half-price area. No
branding required (no need to display name or logo of store on
your own site). Links can be provided back to your own site. A
highly controversial scheme, see Payout
Payout: Essentially 10% of all
books purchased in any calendar month; however, if this comes
to less than $25 (i.e. sales of $250) then the earnings for
that month are zero and the count is reset. Since you do not
control tha traffic that comes to your site, nor the purchases
they make, therefore, the program falls short of what could be
desired of an affiliate program.

Computer
Literacy
|
Review: A
site dedicated to computer and technology books, and an
affiliate program with a difference: a flat-fee payout for
each new customer. Great if you can send hundreds of people to
buy a book; not so good for sustained income.
Payout: $10 per new customer
Help: Search engines, banners (at least one
is mandatory), recommended lists and more
Return: Difficult to judge against other
programs. For comparison, a $10 bounty for a new client is
roughly equivalent to the income you would receive from
somebody purchasing $200 of books from Amazon.com. However,
you only get paid the first time the customer buys books.
The affiliate program is controlled by fatbrain.com
